Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Midwife to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care to expectant mothers and their families. This position is unique as it also involves utilizing telecommunications technology to enhance patient care, communication, and education. The Midwife will work closely with healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment to ensure the best health outcomes for mothers and infants.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive care to pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and vital sign monitoring.
- Utilize telecommunications tools to maintain communication with patients, offering advice, support, and education remotely.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and needs, ensuring the incorporation of the latest medical guidelines and best practices.
- Assist in childbirth, providing emotional and physical support, pain management options, and guidance to mothers during labor.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, and pediatricians to manage any complications that may arise during pregnancy or childbirth.
- Educate patients and families on prenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding, newborn care, and family planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote maternal and child health within the Sharjah community.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid Midwifery license to practice in the UAE.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in midwifery practice, with a focus on prenatal and postnatal care.
- Proficient in the use of telecommunications technology for healthcare delivery.
- Strong understanding of maternal and infant health issues, as well as current medical practices and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, particularly in Arabic and English.
