Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate National Park Ranger with a focus on agriculture to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the conservation, management, and education regarding agricultural practices within national parks. This role will involve collaborating with local communities, government agencies, and conservation organizations to promote sustainable agricultural practices that enhance biodiversity while ensuring the preservation of natural resources.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conservation Management:
- Develop and implement conservation strategies aimed at protecting agricultural landscapes within the national parks.
- Monitor and assess the health of ecosystems, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices and their impacts on biodiversity.
- Conduct regular inspections of park areas to ensure compliance with conservation regulations and standards.

2. Community Engagement:
- Collaborate with local farmers and communities to promote sustainable agricultural practices that align with conservation goals.
- Organize and lead workshops and educational programs for local residents and visitors to raise awareness about sustainable agriculture and conservation efforts.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders, including governmental bodies, NGOs, and agricultural organizations.

3. Research and Data Collection:
- Conduct research on the impact of agricultural practices on park ecosystems and biodiversity.
- Collect and analyze data related to flora, fauna, and agricultural practices, providing insights for future conservation initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations to share findings with management and stakeholders.

4. Visitor Education and Interpretation:
- Develop and present educational programs for park visitors, focusing on the importance of agriculture in conservation and ecosystem health.
- Create informational materials such as brochures, signs, and digital content to enhance visitor understanding of sustainable agricultural practices.
- Assist in guiding tours and educational activities, ensuring a positive visitor experience.

5. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all activities comply with local, national, and international regulations regarding conservation and agriculture.
- Implement safety protocols for park visitors and staff, particularly during agricultural-related activities or events.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within the park, coordinating with relevant agencies as necessary.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in park management, agriculture, or conservation-related roles.
- Strong understanding of sustainable agricultural practices and their implications for environmental conservation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in data collection and analysis, with experience in research methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in a national park or protected area.
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna, particularly those relevant to agricultural ecosystems.
- Familiarity with GIS and other mapping tools.

Working Conditions:
- The position may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking long distances.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary for events and community engagement.
