Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in the Real Estate sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supply chain management, and operations within the real estate industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to manage procurement processes and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Manage the procurement of materials, services, and equipment necessary for real estate projects while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
2. Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible pricing and service levels.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
3. Operational Efficiency:
- Analyze procurement processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement operations.
4. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to ensure the successful execution of procurement strategies.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement team.
5. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and targets.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to track spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
6. Market Research:
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies related to procurement and real estate.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and innovative solutions that can enhance procurement operations.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the procurement process.
- Participate in project planning meetings to understand project requirements and timelines.
8. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to procurement activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably within the real estate sector.
- Proven experience in vendor negotiation and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
