We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team in Dubai. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs and procedures to ensure the health and well-being of all employees within the transportation and logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing refresher courses
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain safety records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging safety trends to proactively address potential issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- [X] years of experience in a safety-related role within the transportation and logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and safety management software
