Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Officer to join our team in the transportation and logistics sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and enhancing our overall market presence. This role requires a deep understanding of the logistics industry, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of successful business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitive landscape within the transportation and logistics sector. Analyze data to support strategic decision-making.

- Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. Collaborate with senior management to align strategies with overall company goals.

- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Understand client needs and work collaboratively to deliver tailored logistics solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

- Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that clearly articulate our value proposition. Customize offerings based on client requirements to maximize win rates.

- Partnership Development: Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances that can enhance service offerings and expand market reach. Negotiate terms and ensure mutually beneficial agreements.

- Sales Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of business development efforts. Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including operations, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives and alignment of services offered.

- Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.

- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business development team members. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
