Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Director of Quality Assurance to lead our quality assurance efforts within the Transportation and Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality management systems and processes, particularly in logistics and transportation operations. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with the company’s objectives, focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

- Quality Management Systems: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS) that comply with international standards and regulations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services.

- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to optimize operational workflows, reduce waste, and enhance service quality.

- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards through regular audits and assessments. Prepare for and manage external audits, addressing any findings promptly.

- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analytics to monitor quality performance metrics, generate reports, and present findings to senior management, providing actionable insights for decision-making.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service, to ensure alignment on quality objectives and foster a quality-focused culture throughout the organization.

- Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs for staff at all levels to enhance awareness and understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.

- Customer Feedback Management: Establish and manage a customer feedback mechanism to gather insights and improve service quality based on customer expectations and requirements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance roles within the transportation and logistics industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.

- Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems and quality improvement initiatives.

- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to transportation and logistics.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
