Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior R to join our dynamic team in the retail sector. This role is pivotal in driving the data analysis and reporting functions within our organization, ensuring that strategic decisions are data-driven and aligned with our retail goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and retail operations, coupled with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide insights into sales performance, inventory levels, customer behavior, and overall retail operations.
- Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish metrics for evaluating retail performance.

- Strategic Decision Support:
- Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management regarding sales strategies, inventory management, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth within the retail sector.

- Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor and manage junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Lead projects aimed at improving data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting processes within the retail division.

- System Optimization:
- Collaborate with IT and database management teams to optimize data collection and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Stay updated on the latest data analysis tools and technologies, implementing best practices to enhance analytical capabilities.

- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, ensuring alignment on data-driven initiatives and reporting standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably within the retail industry.
- Proficiency in R programming and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze large datasets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related challenges.
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
