Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Video Game Tester to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the energy sector. As a Video Game Tester, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and enhancing the quality of our innovative gaming products that focus on energy-related themes and technologies. Your work will ensure that our games are not only enjoyable but also educational and reflective of the complexities of the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough testing of video games at various stages of development, including alpha, beta, and final release phases.
- Identify, document, and report bugs and issues using our tracking system, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and project managers to understand game features and functionality.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of game performance and user experience.
- Participate in playtesting sessions, providing constructive feedback on game mechanics, controls, and overall user experience.
- Analyze game performance metrics and user feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in game testing and quality assurance.
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation related to testing processes and game specifications.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in video game testing or quality assurance, with a strong knowledge of gaming mechanics and user experience.
- Familiarity with game development processes and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- Proficiency in bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- A genuine passion for video games and an understanding of the energy sector is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
