Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Video Game Tester to join our dynamic team focused on the intersection of gaming and healthcare. As a Video Game Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our innovative healthcare-related video games and applications. You will be responsible for identifying bugs, assessing gameplay mechanics, and providing constructive feedback to help enhance the user experience for patients and healthcare professionals alike.

Key Responsibilities:

- Playtest various healthcare-related video games and applications to identify bugs, glitches, and other issues affecting performance and user experience.
- Document and report all findings clearly and comprehensively, detailing steps to reproduce bugs and providing suggestions for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other testers to communicate issues and participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance game mechanics and user engagement.
- Evaluate gameplay mechanics, usability, and overall experience, ensuring the end product meets high standards of quality and user satisfaction.
- Conduct regression testing on updated versions of games to ensure previously identified issues have been resolved and that no new issues have been introduced.
- Participate in team meetings to provide insights on player experience and suggest potential enhancements based on gameplay observations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in game testing and healthcare applications to contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in video game testing or quality assurance, with a strong understanding of gameplay mechanics and user experience.
- Familiarity with healthcare applications or a background in healthcare technology is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using bug tracking software and familiarity with game development processes is desirable.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in testing mobile applications or VR experiences related to healthcare.
- Knowledge of scripting languages or programming concepts is an advantage.
- Passion for video games and a genuine interest in how gaming can impact healthcare and patient engagement.
