Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Zoning Coordinator to join our team in Abu Dhabi's manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing zoning regulations and ensuring compliance with local laws and standards. The Zoning Coordinator will work closely with various departments to facilitate the development and implementation of zoning plans and policies that support our operational objectives and promote sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Zoning Management: Oversee the zoning process for manufacturing sites, including the assessment of site plans, land use applications, and zoning compliance to ensure alignment with local regulations and organizational goals.

- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret local zoning laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with zoning violations. Liaise with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders as necessary.

- Site Assessments: Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate potential manufacturing locations and their suitability based on zoning classifications and restrictions.

- Documentation Preparation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including zoning applications, site plans, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness for submission to relevant authorities.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the company and local government bodies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve zoning-related issues.

- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to assist in the planning and execution of manufacturing projects, ensuring that zoning considerations are integrated into the project lifecycle.

- Data Management: Maintain an organized database of zoning-related documents and records, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information for audits, reporting, and compliance checks.

- Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams regarding zoning regulations and best practices, fostering a culture of awareness and compliance within the organization.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in zoning laws and regulations, industry trends, and best practices, recommending improvements to zoning processes and policies as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in zoning coordination, land use planning, or regulatory compliance, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of zoning regulations and land use policies in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and zoning management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
