Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Air Freight Agent to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing air freight operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the shipment of aerospace and defense materials via air freight, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including air waybills, customs declarations, and other relevant paperwork, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs officials to facilitate smooth transportation and clearance of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments in real-time, providing clients with updates and addressing any issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and inventory, utilizing logistics software and tracking systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, sales, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of logistics activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential delays or issues related to air freight operations.
- Ensure all air freight procedures comply with safety and security regulations specific to the aerospace and defense industry.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to air freight and logistics in the aerospace and defense sector.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years to 7 years of experience in air freight logistics, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and air freight operations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and regulations in the aerospace sector is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
