Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Allergy Technician to join our healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the diagnosis and management of allergies and related conditions, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Allergy Technician will work closely with allergists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive allergy testing, treatment, and education for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct allergy testing procedures, including skin prick tests, intradermal tests, and patch tests, under the supervision of licensed allergists.
- Prepare and administer allergen extracts and evaluate patient reactions, documenting results accurately in the patient’s medical records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of allergy management plans, including immunotherapy protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about allergy conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to manage symptoms effectively.
- Maintain and ensure the proper storage of allergen extracts and other medical supplies in accordance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results, patient progress, and necessary adjustments in treatment plans.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing insurance claims.
- Stay updated on the latest research and practices in allergy and immunology, attending relevant training and education sessions as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring infection control protocols are followed to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Medical Technology, Nursing) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an allergy clinic, dermatology, or a related healthcare setting.
- Certification or training in allergy testing and management is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
