We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Art Gallery Manager to oversee the operations of our prestigious art gallery based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing an art gallery or similar cultural institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curate and manage the gallery's collection of artwork, ensuring a diverse and engaging selection for visitors
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract a wide range of art enthusiasts and collectors
- Plan and organize exhibitions, events, and workshops to showcase the gallery's artists and engage with the local community
- Manage the gallery's budget, including sales targets, expenses, and overhead costs
- Build and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, art critics, and other industry professionals
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gallery, including staff management, inventory control, and maintenance of the gallery space
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in the art world, and adapt gallery programming accordingly
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Arts Administration, or related field
- [Random number] years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a gallery or museum setting
- Strong knowledge of art history, contemporary art trends, and the art market
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network and build relationships with artists and collectors
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing a team of staff and coordinating gallery operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and gallery management software
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
