Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Audit Manager to join our team in Dubai within the Transportation and Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, risk management, and compliance, with a focus on the unique challenges and regulations present in the logistics industry. The Audit Manager will be responsible for leading audit engagements, managing audit teams, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with established standards and timelines.
- Develop and implement audit plans and programs tailored to the transportation and logistics sector, identifying key risk areas and control weaknesses.
- Conduct thorough audits of financial statements, operational processes, compliance with regulations, and risk management practices within the organization.
- Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business processes and potential areas of risk.
- Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
- Present audit findings to senior management and the audit committee, ensuring clear communication of risks and suggested actions.
- Stay current with industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices in auditing and risk management, particularly in the transportation and logistics sector.
- Mentor and train junior audit staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance relevant to the logistics sector.
- Proven experience in leading audit teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
