Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Boat Captain to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our vessels in the Ajman area. This position is essential to our consumer goods transportation team, ensuring that our products are delivered safely and timely to various locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of maritime regulations, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Vessel Operation: Navigate and operate vessels in compliance with maritime laws and regulations, ensuring the safe transport of consumer goods to designated locations.
- Crew Management: Supervise and manage crew members, ensuring proper training, adherence to safety protocols, and effective teamwork.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct regular safety drills, inspections, and maintenance of equipment and safety gear. Ensure that all safety regulations are followed, and safety logs are maintained.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics team to plan routes, schedules, and cargo loads. Ensure the timely delivery of goods while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, and cargo handling.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vessel operations, fuel consumption, maintenance logs, and cargo manifests. Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted as required.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, including equipment malfunctions, weather-related incidents, or any other unforeseen circumstances. Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge regarding maritime operations, navigation technology, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience as a Boat Captain or in a similar role within the maritime or consumer goods industry.
- Certifications: Valid captain's license and relevant maritime certifications (e.g., STCW, first aid, firefighting).
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, navigation systems, and vessel maintenance practices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks related to vessel operations.
