Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will support project managers and construction teams in the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This role is essential for ensuring that healthcare facilities are built to the highest standards while adhering to regulations and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist project managers in coordinating construction activities, including site visits, meetings, and inspections.
- Support the procurement process by researching and sourcing materials, tools, and equipment needed for construction projects.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and change orders.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Oversee site safety practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor construction progress and report any issues or delays to project managers.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports on construction activities, including labor and materials used.
- Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and contract documents.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.
- Support the planning and organization of project logistics, including material deliveries and site access.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on construction progress and challenges.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in construction safety (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a construction assistant role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Familiarity with construction processes, regulations, and safety standards in the UAE.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) and construction management software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of healthcare facility requirements and standards is an advantage.
