Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Diversity and Inclusion Manager to lead our efforts in fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace within the Transportation and Logistics sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with our organizational values and objectives. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively promote a culture of equity and belonging while addressing the unique challenges faced in the transportation and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development:
- Design and implement comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategies that support the organizational mission and objectives.
- Conduct assessments to identify gaps in diversity and inclusion practices and develop actionable plans to address them.

2. Program Implementation:
- Lead the execution of diversity and inclusion programs, initiatives, and training sessions to raise awareness and educate employees at all levels.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate diversity and inclusion practices into recruitment, retention, and talent management processes.

3. Policy and Compliance:
- Develop and maintain diversity and inclusion policies that comply with local laws and regulations.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of diversity initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

4. Employee Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact for employee resource groups (ERGs) and diversity councils, providing support and resources for their initiatives.
- Foster an inclusive workplace culture by promoting open dialogue and creating opportunities for employee feedback.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure diversity and inclusion are prioritized in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Partner with external organizations, community groups, and educational institutions to enhance outreach and visibility of diversity initiatives.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze data related to workforce diversity and inclusion metrics, providing regular reports and insights to management.
- Utilize data to drive continuous improvement and make informed recommendations for policy and program enhancements.

7. Training and Development:
- Design and facilitate training programs that enhance understanding of diversity and inclusion topics among employees and leaders.
- Ensure that all employees receive appropriate training on unconscious bias, cultural competence, and inclusive practices.

8. Crisis Management:
- Address and resolve issues related to discrimination, harassment, or bias within the workplace, ensuring a supportive and safe environment for all employees.
- Develop crisis communication strategies related to diversity and inclusion challenges.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, human resources, or organizational development, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices, trends, and legal requirements within the UAE and globally.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups.
- Proven ability to influence and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection and reporting to measure the impact of D&I initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with diversity analytics tools is preferred.
