Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Employee Relations Manager to join our dynamic retail team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive workplace environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and driving employee engagement initiatives. The Employee Relations Manager will serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, facilitating effective communication between management and staff, and promoting a culture of transparency and mutual respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage employee relations policies and procedures that align with the company’s objectives and legal requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on employee relations matters including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, grievances, or disputes and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Collaborate with HR and management to design and deliver training programs on employee relations best practices, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
- Analyze employee feedback and engagement survey results to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving employee satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations regarding employee relations and workplace policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels, fostering a culture of open communication and trust.
- Prepare and present reports on employee relations metrics to senior management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and changes in labor legislation to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations or HR management, preferably within the retail sector.
- Strong understanding of UAE labor laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in conflict resolution and employee mediation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
