Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Program Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in the real estate sector in Abu Dhabi. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of engineering projects and programs, overseeing operational efficiency, and driving the successful delivery of high-quality real estate developments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Management:
- Lead and manage multiple engineering programs from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project timelines.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.
2. Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and project coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to support their professional growth.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, addressing any concerns and ensuring alignment on project objectives.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Establish and implement quality control processes to ensure engineering projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and reviews to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety protocols.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with local laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies.
6. Process Improvement:
- Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize project workflows and resource allocation.
7. Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering program management or operations within the real estate sector.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction or engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for stakeholder management.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Abu Dhabi.
