Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Facilities Coordinator to join our team in the education sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance and operation of all facilities within our educational institution. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facilities Management:
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and renovations.

2. Space Management:
- Assist in the planning and allocation of spaces for classrooms, offices, and other facilities to optimize usage.
- Support the setup and breakdown of classrooms and event spaces for special programs and activities.

3. Budgeting and Procurement:
- Assist in the preparation and management of the facilities budget, monitoring spending and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Research and procure necessary supplies, equipment, and services related to facility management.

4. Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations and institutional policies regarding health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop and maintain emergency procedures and protocols, conducting regular drills and training for staff.

5. Sustainability Initiatives:
- Promote and implement sustainability initiatives within the facilities to reduce environmental impact.
- Work with the administration to develop strategies for energy efficiency and waste reduction.

6. Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities-related inquiries and concerns from staff, students, and parents.
- Prepare and present regular reports on facilities management activities, maintenance schedules, and budget status to management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities management or a related role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
