Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Legal Manager to join our dynamic team in the healthcare sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing legal compliance, managing legal risks, and providing expert legal advice to support our operations and strategic initiatives. This role requires a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, corporate law, and a strong ability to navigate complex legal challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international healthcare laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in healthcare legislation and advise on potential impacts to the organization.
- Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to mitigate legal risks.
2. Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure favorable terms and legal compliance.
- Maintain an organized database of contracts and monitor contract performance, renewals, and expirations.
3. Risk Management:
- Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to minimize exposure to legal liabilities.
- Conduct risk assessments and legal audits to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
4. Litigation Management:
- Oversee any litigation or dispute resolution processes, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
5. Advisory Role:
- Provide legal advice to senior management and various departments on healthcare policies, regulations, and operational matters.
- Support the development of policies and procedures related to healthcare operations and compliance.
6. Training and Development:
- Conduct training sessions for staff on legal compliance and risk management practices.
- Foster a culture of legal awareness and compliance within the organization.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including management, finance, and operations teams, to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay informed on legal developments and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree or equivalent (LLM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years and maximum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing legal landscapes.
