### Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Planner to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceutical industry based in Dubai. The Materials Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely supply of materials needed for production, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting the overall supply chain operations.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Material Requirement Planning: Analyze production schedules and material requirements to develop and maintain accurate material planning forecasts. Utilize MRP systems to ensure availability of materials and components in line with production needs.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize excess stock while ensuring that materials are available for production. Implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to address any supply chain issues proactively.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to track material usage, inventory turnover rates, and demand trends. Prepare reports for management and provide insights to inform decision-making processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure that all materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on production schedules and material needs.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies related to materials management. Maintain accurate documentation of material transactions and inventory records.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the materials planning function. Propose and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in material handling and inventory management.
### Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SAP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
### Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and supply chain management tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
