Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coder to join our dynamic team in Dubai’s telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding and billing for medical services, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our healthcare operations within the telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze medical records to identify relevant diagnoses, procedures, and services provided to patients.
- Assign appropriate codes using the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) coding systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and coding standards, including HIPAA and local health authority guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, billing departments, and insurance companies to resolve coding discrepancies and payment issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices, regulatory changes, and industry trends to ensure accuracy and compliance in all coding tasks.
- Conduct regular audits of coding processes to identify and rectify errors, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Provide training and support to new staff and team members on coding policies and procedures.
- Generate and analyze reports on coding accuracy, efficiency, and compliance for management review.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field preferred.
- Certification from recognized medical coding organizations (e.g., AAPC, AHIMA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding, with a strong understanding of healthcare terminology and coding systems.
- Experience in a telecommunications setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
