Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Medical Office Receptionist to join our team in the pharmaceutical sector in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, healthcare professionals, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative duties in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival and provide assistance as needed.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, including follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Manage incoming calls, directing inquiries to appropriate staff members and taking accurate messages when necessary.
- Maintain an organized filing system for patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and personal data, ensuring accuracy in medical records.
- Process patient payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist in the management of office inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Stay informed about the latest pharmaceutical products and services to provide accurate information to patients and staff.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the medical office.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficient in using office software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmaceutical concepts is advantageous.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English is preferred.
