Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health support, assessment, and therapeutic services to a diverse population. The Mental Health Counselor will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and contribute to the overall well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in compliance with local regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide integrated care.
- Facilitate workshops and support groups on various mental health topics to educate and empower clients.
- Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in emergency situations.
- Promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma within the community through outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 7 years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Valid and recognized professional license or certification to practice as a counselor in the UAE.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Working Conditions:

- The position may require occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules.
- The counselor will work in a clinical environment and may encounter clients experiencing acute mental health crises.
