Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Research Manager to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah, specializing in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytical methods to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and drive data-informed decision-making. This role requires a strong background in operations research, analytics, and project management, along with a passion for problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Model Development and Analysis: Design, develop, and implement mathematical models and simulations to analyze complex operational problems and identify optimal solutions in construction projects.

- Data Collection and Management: Gather and manage data from various sources to support research initiatives, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for effective analysis.

- Project Optimization: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in project execution, resource allocation, scheduling, and cost management.

- Strategic Planning: Assist in developing long-term operational strategies that align with organizational goals, using quantitative methods to forecast trends and performance metrics.

- Reporting and Visualization: Create comprehensive reports and visualizations that communicate research findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to ensure that research insights translate into actionable strategies.

- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices in operations research.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of analysts and researchers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, effectively communicating complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations research, analytics, or a related field within the construction industry.

- Proficiency in operations research techniques, statistical analysis, optimization methods, and simulation modeling.

- Strong experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, or similar).

- Familiarity with construction project management principles and practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.

- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards in the construction sector.
