Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Policy Advisor to join our dynamic team in the Consumer Goods sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping and influencing policy decisions that affect our operations and the broader market landscape. This position requires a deep understanding of the consumer goods industry, as well as strong analytical and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Policy Analysis and Development: Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing and proposed policies relevant to the consumer goods sector. Develop policy recommendations that align with the company’s strategic objectives and advocate for their implementation.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry associations, and other key stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for policy-related matters and ensure that the company’s interests are represented in discussions with external partners.

- Research and Reporting: Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at local, national, and international levels. Prepare reports, briefing papers, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and senior management.

- Advocacy and Representation: Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and public consultations. Advocate for policies that promote a favorable business environment for the consumer goods sector.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including marketing, sales, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on policy issues and to support the development of business strategies that comply with regulatory requirements.

- Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on policy matters, ensuring that all employees are informed about relevant regulations and compliance issues.

- Crisis Management: Assist in the development of strategies to respond to potential policy-related crises or challenges that may impact the business.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the consumer goods industry.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape affecting consumer goods, including food safety, environmental regulations, and trade policies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable recommendations.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic is highly desirable.
