Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recreation Director to lead and manage our recreational programs and facilities within our retail environment in Ajman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging recreational activities, promoting community engagement, and ensuring an exceptional experience for visitors. This role requires a passion for recreation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Design, implement, and oversee a variety of recreational programs and activities that cater to diverse age groups and interests, ensuring alignment with retail objectives.
- Facility Management: Manage the maintenance and operation of recreational facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and equipped to meet the needs of our customers.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise recreation staff and volunteers, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with local communities, schools, and organizations to promote recreational programs and encourage participation.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the recreation program budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies to attract participants to recreational programs and events.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute special events, workshops, and activities that enhance the recreational offerings and promote community involvement.
- Assessment and Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recreational programs, gathering feedback from participants to implement improvements and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Compliance: Ensure all recreational activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in recreation management, preferably in a retail or community setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in recreation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and recreational management software.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
