Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Director to oversee and manage our recreational programs within the Transportation and Logistics sector in Ajman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities that promote teamwork, health, and wellness among employees, ultimately enhancing productivity and job satisfaction. This position requires a dynamic leader with excellent communication skills, creativity, and a passion for fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development and Management:
- Design and implement engaging recreational programs and activities tailored to employees in the transportation and logistics sector.
- Assess employee interests and needs to create programs that promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and social interaction.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recreational programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and participation levels.

2. Budgeting and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the budget for recreational activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify and secure funding and sponsorship opportunities to enhance program offerings.

3. Collaboration and Partnerships:
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure recreational programs align with organizational goals and enhance employee engagement.
- Establish partnerships with local community organizations, fitness experts, and wellness providers to enrich program offerings.

4. Leadership and Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise recreational staff, volunteers, and program leaders to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Foster a positive team environment and encourage staff development through ongoing training and professional growth opportunities.

5. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all recreational activities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of facilities and equipment to maintain safety and accessibility for all participants.

6. Communication and Promotion:
- Develop marketing materials to promote recreational programs and increase employee participation.
- Communicate effectively with employees to keep them informed of upcoming events, programs, and opportunities for involvement.

7. Event Planning and Coordination:
- Organize and oversee special events, competitions, and team-building activities that foster camaraderie and teamwork among employees.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in recreational programming, event planning, or employee engagement within a corporate environment, preferably in the transportation and logistics sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using technology and software for program management and communication.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to recreational activities is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
