Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Retail Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our retail store, which specializes in educational products and resources. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our business while supporting the educational needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: Assist the Retail Manager in overseeing daily operations and managing a team of retail staff. Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team performance and customer service excellence.

- Sales Management: Support the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve financial targets. Monitor sales performance and provide insights to drive revenue growth, including upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

- Customer Service: Foster a customer-centric environment by ensuring high standards of service are met. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner to enhance the overall shopping experience.

- Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory levels, including stock ordering, receiving, and merchandising. Conduct regular stock checks and ensure proper product placement on the sales floor.

- Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the Retail Manager to create appealing product displays that promote educational materials effectively. Ensure the retail space is well-organized and visually attractive.

- Financial Reporting: Support the Retail Manager in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Monitor expenditures and assist in the management of store operational costs.

- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that the store complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment for all staff and customers.

- Community Engagement: Participate in community events and initiatives that promote the store's educational offerings. Build relationships with local schools, educators, and organizations to enhance visibility and support educational advancement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Education, or related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of retail experience, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong sales acumen and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and retail software systems.
- A passion for education and a commitment to promoting learning and development.
