Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Engineer to join our telecommunications team in Al Ain. The Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all operations and projects comply with safety regulations and standards, minimizing risks, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in safety engineering, particularly within the telecommunications sector, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems and policies that comply with local, national, and international safety regulations specific to telecommunications.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with telecommunications projects and operations, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections of work sites, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure safety considerations are integrated into project designs and operational plans.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports, safety manuals, and training materials.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in safety engineering and telecommunications.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety engineering, with a focus on telecommunications or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to the telecommunications sector.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
