Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Knowledge Manager to join our team in Dubai, specializing in the retail sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing our knowledge management practices, enhancing organizational performance, and driving innovation by ensuring that critical knowledge is captured, shared, and utilized effectively across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the retail organization. This includes identifying key knowledge areas and developing frameworks for knowledge acquisition, retention, and dissemination.
- Knowledge Repository Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of a centralized knowledge repository, ensuring that information is easily accessible, up-to-date, and structured for maximum usability.
- Collaboration Facilitation: Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members and departments. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and forums to encourage open communication and the exchange of ideas.
- Content Creation and Curation: Lead efforts in creating, curating, and managing high-quality knowledge content, including best practices, case studies, process documentation, and training materials relevant to the retail sector.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives. Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and report findings to senior management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including leadership, IT, and HR, to ensure alignment on knowledge management initiatives and to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Technology Utilization: Evaluate and implement knowledge management technologies and tools that enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in knowledge management solutions.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs that equip employees with the skills necessary to effectively utilize knowledge management tools and practices. Support ongoing professional development related to knowledge management.
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to knowledge management practices, ensuring that transitions are smooth and that employees are engaged and informed throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in knowledge management, information management, or a related role within the retail industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and report on the effectiveness of knowledge management practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in knowledge management systems and tools, as well as other relevant technologies.
- Experience in training and facilitating workshops or meetings.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
