Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Policy Officer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi's healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare policy development, analysis, and implementation, with a keen understanding of the healthcare landscape in the UAE and the broader Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Policy Development and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on healthcare policies, trends, and best practices to inform decision-making.
- Develop, review, and propose new healthcare policies and regulations to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services in the region.
- Monitor and evaluate existing policies to assess their effectiveness and recommend necessary adjustments.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with government agencies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with national health priorities.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and consultations to gather input from stakeholders and promote collaborative policy-making.
- Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders to advocate for policy initiatives.

3. Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans that align with national health goals and objectives.
- Identify emerging issues in the healthcare sector and propose proactive policy responses to address these challenges.
- Support the implementation of strategic initiatives by providing policy guidance and expertise.

4. Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare high-quality reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior management and government officials.
- Communicate complex policy issues clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure that all policy documents and communications reflect the organization’s vision and values.

5. Capacity Building:
- Mentor and support junior policy staff in their professional development and skills enhancement.
- Organize training sessions and workshops to build capacity in policy analysis and development within the organization.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare policy development and analysis, preferably in a government or non-profit setting.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare system in the UAE, including regulatory frameworks and key stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
