Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Translator to support our operations in the agriculture sector in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will be proficient in translating agricultural documents, research materials, technical specifications, and other relevant content between Arabic and English (and possibly other languages as needed). The Translator will play a critical role in ensuring effective communication between local and international stakeholders, enhancing our commitment to promoting sustainable agricultural practices and innovation in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Translate a variety of documents related to agriculture, including research papers, technical manuals, policy documents, marketing materials, and training resources.
- Ensure all translations maintain the original meaning, context, and tone, while adapting language and terminology for the target audience.
- Collaborate with agricultural experts, researchers, and project managers to understand the context of the materials being translated.
- Review and edit translated documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, ensuring adherence to industry-specific terminology and standards.
- Assist in the localization of educational and promotional content for agricultural programs and initiatives.
- Maintain a glossary of agricultural terms and phrases in both Arabic and English for future reference.
- Participate in meetings and discussions with stakeholders, providing real-time translation services as needed.
- Stay updated on agricultural trends, terminology, and best practices to ensure translations are relevant and accurate.
- Manage translation projects within established deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve translation processes and tools.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Agriculture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional translation experience, preferably in the agriculture sector.
- Native proficiency in Arabic and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong understanding of agricultural terminology and practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both languages.
- Familiarity with translation software and tools is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
