Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Operations Program Manager to oversee and optimize our transportation and logistics operations within our manufacturing facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient transportation processes, managing logistics teams, and driving operational excellence to support our manufacturing objectives. The successful applicant will possess strong leadership skills, a keen analytical mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement in supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Optimize routing and scheduling to enhance efficiency and reduce transportation costs.

- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of logistics and transportation professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement transportation strategies aligned with the overall business objectives. Analyze transportation trends and data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.

- Supplier and Carrier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.

- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all transportation operations comply with local, regional, and international regulations and standards. Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols throughout the transportation process.

- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of transportation operations. Regularly report on performance metrics to senior management and make recommendations for improvements.

- Budget Management: Develop and manage the transportation budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost control measures to achieve financial targets.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities. Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance overall operational efficiency.

- Technology Utilization: Leverage transportation management systems (TMS) and other technology solutions to streamline operations and improve data visibility. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance transportation capabilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing transportation operations and teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in transportation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
