Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Vineyard Manager to oversee the operations of our innovative vineyard project in Abu Dhabi. This unique position combines the art of viticulture with the strategic insight of financial services, aimed at creating a sustainable and profitable vineyard that aligns with our organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about viticulture, have a deep understanding of vineyard management best practices, and possess the ability to integrate financial principles into agricultural operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vineyard Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of vineyard management, including planting, cultivation, pest management, and harvesting.
- Develop and implement best practices for vineyard maintenance, ensuring optimal growth and quality of grape production.
- Coordinate with agricultural experts to monitor soil health, irrigation, and climate conditions affecting the vineyard.

2. Financial Planning and Management:
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to analyze vineyard production costs and profitability.
- Monitor financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to evaluate investment opportunities related to vineyard expansion and equipment purchases.

3. Compliance and Sustainability:
- Ensure compliance with local agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and sustainability practices.
- Implement sustainable farming practices that enhance soil health and reduce environmental impact.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in vineyard management and sustainable agriculture.

4. Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage vineyard staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop training programs to enhance team skills in vineyard management and sustainable practices.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including financial analysts, agronomists, and local authorities.
- Present vineyard performance data and strategic recommendations to senior management and investors.
- Build relationships with local agricultural communities and industry organizations to promote the vineyard and its initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Agricultural Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in vineyard management or agricultural operations, preferably within a financial services context.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and their application in agricultural decision-making.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and current trends in viticulture.
