Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team focused on retail projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the construction management team throughout all phases of project development, including planning, execution, and completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative retail spaces that enhance consumer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project timelines and deliverables.
- Support the project manager in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and daily reports.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and specifications.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration on project tasks.
- Help in the management of materials and inventory, including tracking deliveries and ensuring proper storage and handling on-site.
- Participate in regular project meetings, taking notes and following up on action items.
- Assist in resolving on-site issues and conflicts, facilitating timely solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Conduct research and gather information on local construction regulations and codes relevant to retail projects in Dubai.
- Support the construction team in implementing sustainability practices and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

- A diploma or relevant degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years and up to 6 years of experience in construction, preferably within the retail sector.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques, particularly in retail environments.
- Familiarity with local construction codes and regulations in Dubai.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and construction management software is a plus.
