Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Employee Relations Manager to join our team in Dubai's construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing employee relations and human resource practices, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high levels of employee engagement. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with labor laws, resolving workplace conflicts, and promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and local labor laws.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on employee relations matters, providing guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee grievances and complaints, ensuring fair and impartial resolution while maintaining confidentiality.
- Facilitate training sessions for managers and employees on effective communication, conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, and other relevant topics.
- Monitor employee engagement and satisfaction levels through surveys and feedback mechanisms, and develop strategies to enhance employee morale and retention.
- Collaborate with HR teams to develop and implement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture and employee well-being.
- Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Analyze employee relations trends and metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and recommending improvements where necessary.
- Serve as a mediator in workplace disputes, utilizing effective negotiation skills to foster resolution and maintain working relationships.
- Liaise with legal counsel when necessary to address complex employee relations issues and ensure compliance with employment law.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations, human resources, or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations, with experience in handling employee grievances and conflicts.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective employee relations strategies and programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations and sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
