Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Therapist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the unique challenges faced by families within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with employees and their families to address emotional, relational, and psychological issues that may arise due to the demanding nature of construction work. This role requires a proactive approach to mental health and wellbeing, as well as the ability to provide support in a culturally diverse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of employees and their families in the construction sector.
- Assess and diagnose mental health issues, developing appropriate treatment plans and interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during critical incidents affecting families, such as workplace accidents or job-related stress.
- Collaborate with HR and management to design and implement employee assistance programs (EAP) that promote mental health and wellbeing.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars on communication skills, conflict resolution, and stress management for employees and their families.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in family therapy and mental health, particularly as they relate to the construction industry.
- Provide referrals to other professionals or services when necessary, ensuring comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage in community outreach and education to raise awareness of mental health issues and available resources within the construction workforce.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid license to practice as a Family Therapist in the UAE.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in family therapy or a related field, preferably with experience in the construction industry or similar high-stress environments.
- Strong understanding of cultural dynamics and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of clients.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in both English and Arabic is preferred, but not mandatory.
