Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Materials Planner to join our dynamic team in the Information Technology sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain management within a technology-focused environment. As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the necessary materials and components are available to meet production schedules and project timelines while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement material planning strategies to support production schedules and project timelines.
- Analyze demand forecasts and production schedules to determine material requirements and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and production, to align material requirements with project needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform regular audits to identify discrepancies and manage excess or obsolete inventory.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to track material usage, forecast demand, and manage stock levels.
- Prepare reports and analyze data regarding material availability, inventory turnover, and procurement performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in material planning and inventory management to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding material handling and procurement.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members in material planning processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in materials planning, supply chain management, or inventory management within the Information Technology sector.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in materials planning and supply chain management.
