Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recreation Director to lead our recreational programs and initiatives in the construction sector in Ajman. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting health, wellness, and leisure activities within the community and will play a pivotal role in developing and overseeing recreational projects that enhance the quality of life for our employees and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development:
- Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive range of recreational programs and activities tailored to the needs of our workforce in the construction industry.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess community needs and interests in recreational activities.

2. Leadership and Management:
- Lead and supervise a team of recreation staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

3. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the annual recreation budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for all programs and activities.
- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize program impact.

4. Community Engagement:
- Establish partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community groups to promote recreational opportunities.
- Organize community events, workshops, and outreach programs to increase participation and awareness of available recreational services.

5. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all recreational activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of facilities and equipment, implementing maintenance and safety protocols as necessary.

6. Evaluation and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data on program participation and impact, using findings to improve and expand recreational offerings.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on program performance and community engagement.

7. Marketing and Promotion:
- Develop marketing strategies to promote recreational programs and activities, utilizing various platforms to reach diverse audiences.
- Create promotional materials, including newsletters, flyers, and social media content to engage the community.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in recreation management, program development, or a related field, preferably within the construction sector.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees, community members, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in recreational programming.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt programs to meet the changing needs of the community.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in budget management and financial planning.
- Familiarity with the construction industry and its unique challenges related to employee wellness and recreation.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
