Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team in Sharjah, specializing in the real estate sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing shipping and receiving operations, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of materials and documents related to our real estate projects. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, as well as effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Shipping Coordination:
- Prepare and process shipping documents for outgoing materials and equipment related to real estate projects.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics companies to ensure efficient transport of goods.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring adherence to project timelines.

- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Update inventory databases to reflect current stock levels and shipment status.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

- Documentation:
- Prepare and verify shipping labels, packing lists, and customs documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
- Maintain organized files for all shipping and receiving documentation.

- Communication:
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth shipping operations.
- Provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
- Respond promptly to inquiries regarding shipping schedules and delivery times.

- Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Ensure all materials received are in good condition and meet project specifications.

- General Administrative Support:
- Assist with other administrative tasks as required to support the logistics and project teams.
- Collaborate with team members to improve shipping processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field, preferably within the real estate industry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

Working Conditions:

- This position may require occasional overtime or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
- The Shipping Clerk will work in an office environment, with occasional visits to job sites or warehouses.
