Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations within the education sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution, ensuring that educational materials and resources are delivered efficiently and effectively to our institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring the timely delivery of educational resources.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including academic departments and administrative teams, to forecast demand and ensure adequate supply of materials and resources.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet the needs of the educational institutions.
- Coordinate logistics and distribution activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, implementing innovations in supply chain management that align with the organization's goals.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as environmental standards, in all supply chain activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles, practices, and technologies.
- Proven experience in vendor management and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in supply chain management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
