Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Traffic Coordinator to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of traffic and logistics for our construction projects, contributing to the overall success of our operations. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of construction site management and traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Traffic Management: Oversee and coordinate the movement of construction vehicles and equipment within and around the job site. Ensure compliance with local traffic regulations and safety guidelines to minimize disruptions.

- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to plan and schedule the delivery of materials, equipment, and personnel to construction sites. Ensure the timely arrival and proper placement of all items.

- Site Assessment: Conduct site assessments to identify potential traffic issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Monitor traffic patterns and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal flow.

- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all traffic-related inquiries. Communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure smooth operations.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of traffic patterns, incidents, and logistics activities. Prepare regular reports on traffic management performance and recommend improvements.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure all traffic management plans adhere to safety regulations and best practices. Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety protocols.

- Problem-Solving: Address any traffic-related issues that arise during construction activities. Implement solutions quickly to minimize delays and maintain project timelines.

- Training and Supervision: Assist in training site personnel on traffic management procedures and safety practices. Supervise traffic control personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Traffic Management, Logistics, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic coordination or logistics management within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of local traffic regulations and construction safety standards.

- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

- Proficiency in using traffic management software and tools.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working in a multicultural environment.

- Knowledge of construction project management principles.

- Familiarity with Dubai's road and traffic systems.
