Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Traffic Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the flow of materials and information between various departments and external suppliers, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods and documents. This role is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our commitment to quality and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordination of Shipments:
- Manage and coordinate the transportation of materials, equipment, and documentation to and from various locations, ensuring adherence to timelines and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics providers to arrange transportation and track shipments, resolving any issues that may arise during transit.

2. Documentation Management:
- Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and export declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments, including arrival and departure times, quantities shipped, and any discrepancies.

3. Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments, suppliers, and logistics partners regarding shipping and receiving matters.
- Facilitate effective communication between engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on project timelines and material requirements.

4. Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory reconciliation to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and efficient receiving and storage of materials.

5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on relevant aerospace and defense regulations, import/export laws, and best practices in logistics management.
- Ensure all shipments comply with local and international regulatory standards, including the necessary customs documentation.

6. Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, and other logistical challenges proactively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

7. Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on shipping activities, costs, and inventory levels for management review.
- Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for operational improvements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in traffic coordination or logistics management, preferably within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and customs regulations, particularly in the UAE and international markets.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
