Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Advocate Assistant to join our team in Dubai. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to promote the well-being and rights of children in alignment with our consumer goods initiatives. The Child Advocate Assistant will work closely with the Child Advocate team, coordinating efforts to ensure that children's voices are heard and their needs are met within the context of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of advocacy programs aimed at promoting children's rights and welfare in the community.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that our consumer goods are designed and marketed with a focus on child safety and well-being.
- Conduct research on child welfare issues relevant to the consumer goods industry, providing insights and recommendations to the advocacy team.
- Help organize workshops, seminars, and community outreach events to raise awareness about children's rights and consumer safety.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, and community organizations, to foster partnerships and enhance advocacy efforts.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of advocacy activities, including meeting notes, event outcomes, and stakeholder interactions.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal and external audiences to communicate the impact of our advocacy initiatives.
- Stay informed about local and international laws, policies, and trends related to child welfare and consumer goods, ensuring compliance and best practices within our organization.
- Provide administrative support to the Child Advocate team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in child advocacy, social services, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of children’s rights and welfare issues, particularly within the context of consumer goods.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with data management tools.
- Knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
