Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Data Center Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our data center operations, ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of critical data systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network equipment.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on data center hardware and systems to ensure optimal functioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the deployment, installation, and configuration of new servers and network equipment.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage data backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of data center operations, procedures, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices related to data center operations and security.
- Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation to optimize data center performance.
- Support the implementation of data center projects and initiatives as required.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and staff when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data center operations or a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage solutions.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud computing environments is a plus.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, or Unix.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA) are advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with data center maintenance.
- Willingness to work in a controlled environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
