Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Hotel Event Manager with a passion for agriculture to join our team in Dubai. This role is pivotal in planning, coordinating, and executing various events that promote agricultural initiatives, sustainability practices, and innovation within the industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a creative mindset, and a deep understanding of both hospitality and agricultural sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with our agricultural mission and objectives.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, logistics, catering, entertainment, and vendor management.
- Collaborate with agricultural partners, stakeholders, and local communities to curate engaging and educational events.
- Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing ROI.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure competitive pricing.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Create marketing materials and promotional strategies to attract attendees and sponsors.
- Utilize social media, email marketing, and other platforms to promote events related to agriculture and sustainability.
- On-Site Management:
- Oversee event execution, ensuring all details are managed seamlessly on the day of the event.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, attendees, vendors, and staff during events.
- Post-Event Evaluation:
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining event outcomes, participant feedback, and financial performance.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with hotel staff, including catering, housekeeping, and front desk teams, to ensure a high standard of service and hospitality.
- Lead and train event staff, providing clear guidance and support throughout the planning and execution phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, preferably within the hospitality or agricultural sectors.
- Strong understanding of agriculture trends, sustainability practices, and community engagement.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing large-scale events, conferences, or exhibitions.
- Knowledge of local agricultural practices and community needs in Dubai and the UAE.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
