Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceutical industry in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to ensure the smooth functioning of our technological infrastructure and assist our staff in utilizing various technologies effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Respond promptly to IT support requests via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Monitor and maintain the organization’s IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues with pharmaceutical-specific software applications and systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to facilitate repairs and upgrades as needed.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and IT procedures to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
- Assist in training staff on the use of software applications, hardware, and IT policies.
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementation of new technologies.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in IT and the pharmaceutical industry to proactively address potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role within a corporate environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Experience with network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance standards (such as FDA, GxP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus but not mandatory.
