Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mining Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sharjah, UAE, focusing on educational initiatives within the mining sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mining engineering and a passion for education, aiming to foster a new generation of mining professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development:
- Design and develop comprehensive mining engineering curricula that align with industry standards and educational best practices.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to incorporate real-world mining scenarios into educational materials.

2. Instructional Delivery:
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in mining engineering, covering topics such as mineral exploration, mine design, and safety practices.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods, including hands-on training, field visits, and simulations to enhance student learning and engagement.

3. Research and Development:
- Conduct research in mining engineering and related fields, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice within the industry.
- Publish findings in reputable journals and present at industry conferences to share insights and foster collaboration.

4. Industry Collaboration:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with mining companies and professionals to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures featuring industry leaders to enrich the educational experience for students.

5. Advising and Mentoring:
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, guiding them in their educational and career paths in the mining sector.
- Support students in securing internships and job placements within the industry.

6. Safety and Compliance:
- Promote safety awareness and best practices in mining operations through educational programs and workshops.
- Ensure compliance with local and international mining regulations and standards in educational content.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in mining engineering, with a strong emphasis on education and training within the sector.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to innovative teaching practices.
- Familiarity with mining software and technology is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local and international mining regulations is desirable.
